Natural Protection

On a casual trip into a natural health shop in Puerto Escondido in search of natural suncream, I didn’t find protection from the sun, but protection from everything else possible. There were potions, lotions, amulets and idols as well as lots of healing herbs…

Candles

Anything you want there is a candle for it…

Herbs 3

Prostate, kidneys, nerves, dry cough…traditional herbs for all.

Herbs1

There is something for everything and everyone…

Potions

You want fast money, love, or just someone to stop talking…you got it!

Herbs2

Stop your nightmares or your diarreah

Santa

La Santa Muerte a saint growing in popularity in Mexico. There were many of these idols around the shop.

Soap

There was even a soap to make your lover hate you…

Apparently considered like a Robin Hood figure, Malverde is often referred to as the “Generous Bandit”

Tienda

St Jude, the saint of lost causes…

Tienda 2

Backed up by 30 years of experience…

  1. Hmmm.. if skin cancer was a problem in this area, I’m sure there would be a product for it. Maybe the big Pharma people are lying to us. 🙂
