It is no secret that I have an obsession with doors in Mexico. For me they tell so many stories of generations of use, generations of being the entrance to a household or business. Their stories revealed in the peeling paintwork, layered with colours or the deteriorating wood that still stands stoically, are there for all to imagine. Who has walked through that door? What has been hidden behind it? Whose hands made the key and whose turned the key in the lock? The curiosity flows excitedly through my mind.
So this blog is a celebration of some of these wonderful doors I have discovered in Mexico. Let your imagination run wild…
