I know I haven’t written on the blog for some time, but I wanted to let you all know about a competition to win a trip to Mexico for two.
The competition, which is being run by the Mexican Embassy in the UK, is all about showing the delights of Mexico through photos that represent the color, culture and magic of the country. The entrant with the winning photo will win a trip to Cancun for two, staying at the Grand Velas Riviera Maya. I just stayed in the Grand Velas in Los Cabos and it was incredibly luxurious, so I am sure the winners will be in for a treat.
Second and third prize winners will win a delicious Mexican meal at Ella Canta and Wahaca respectively.
If you are British, over 18 and you have Instagram, then head on over and post your favourite photo of Mexico or a Mexican experience in the UK and tag it with the hashtag #mypicofmexico2018 . All photos should be submitted by 31st October.
The uploaded photos should include the following:
- Year and precise location of the photo (Using geolocation);
- A title and a brief explanation describing its relevance to the competition’s theme and why the image would make others wish either to go back to Mexico or to visit it for the very first time. All captions must be in English.
- Participants should follow the Embassy of Mexico’s Instagram account @embamex_gbrand the accounts of key partners @visitmexico @grandvelasmaya @british_airways and the sponsors @ellacantalondon & @wahaca
Check out all the rules here.
I am honoured to be one of the judges in the competition and I can’t wait to see all your photos. The lucky winners will be announced on 4th November.
Feel free to follow me over on Instragram @Mexicoretold too as I often post there about my travels around these fine shores.
